Biological diversity in europe continues to decline drastically

Nature in europe is threatened. And that from several sides. Intensive farming and forestry displaced many animal and plant species. Expansion of residential areas destroys special habitats such as dune landscapes and rocky areas. And pollution does its ubriges.

As a result, biodiversity continues to decline drastically, as a report by the EU’s environmental agency EEA presented in copenhagen on monday shows.

Theft of apple serial numbers solved

App developer blue toad confirmed to NBC on monday that the collection of unique device identifiers (udids) came from its databases. The data had been stolen in the past two weeks. This contradicts the hacker collective antisec’s claim that they downloaded the UDID numbers from an FBI agent’s computer in march.

Antisec had published last week about one million data sets with serial numbers of iphones and ipads and partly further information. According to the report, they were part of a larger collection of about twelve million numbers. The FBI was quick to deny having the data. Nor is there any record of a break-in at any of the FBI computers. Apple also said it had not provided U.S. Federal law enforcement with UDID numbers.

For the time being, many electricity customers in germany do not have to expect any additional burdens, at least not in terms of network costs.

"The network fees for the consumer will practically not increase in the coming year in many areas," the president of the federal network agency, jochen homann, told the german press agency. However, the trend is not uniform: "in some regions there will be an increase, in others they will fall."

Heavy weapons deployed

On the report "schools announce consequences for protesters" (bayerische rundschau of 19. September) we received the following letter: minister of education piazolo and school principals declare climate crisis over immediately. If students now continue to stand up for nature and thus for their future, they will be subjected to heavy protection: disciplinary action, detention, reprimands, fines, and so on.

All the urgent warnings of thousands of scientists and experts that we are on the verge of the tipping points, after which it is almost impossible to stop the climate crisis, suddenly no longer matter.

Kindergarten party in Burglauer

The head of the kindergarten, carmen manger, was not only pleased with the large number of guests, but also with the varied and thought-provoking program put together by the kindergarten team. With the song "children have rights the children started their performance. Children have a right to play, to peace, to freedom and above all to have their say. These findings had been worked out with the children in the preceding months.

But not only that. The children have also spent the last few weeks learning that everyone is different. "I am me – and that is good." This was also the subject of the children’s presentation.
At the end, the children sang the song "we are miracle children – we are unique and ingenious". Exactly this message was particularly close to the heart of the kindergarten team. The children were to learn that they are valuable, just the way they are.

Researchers from erlangen show that gambling makes you healthy

The oldest defense battle on earth? This has nothing to do with germanic heroes or roman legions, but with the battle of the immune system against invading pathogens – for example, in chronic inflammatory diseases such as gout, crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.

The learning game "game in flame" shows the causes of these illnesses, what they trigger in the body and how medications work. It was developed by an interdisciplinary team of physicians and researchers from medical clinic 3 – rheumatology and immunology – under professor georg schett of the university hospital erlangen and the friedrich-alexander-university erlangen-nurnberg. Now the spab is also available as a free app for ios and android systems.

One in three bought one more for the tablet

A great action by committed young people took place again on saturday at the rewe-markt on wurzburger strabe. "Buy-one-more campaign (kauf-eins-mehr aktion)" it happened again and the leo club herzogenaurach uraha collected hybrid food for the tafel on the initiative of the rotaract club franken.
The special thing is that the young lions (leos) and the young rotarians (rotaract) have joined forces for this action. Together, the two youth organizations want to achieve more. "The leos have been supporting the tafel for many years and we are now happy about this joint action with rotaract", gaby richter, head of the tafel distribution center in herzogenaurach, is delighted.
Customers were asked to buy one more item and donate it to the food bank. Many of the sometimes hurried people were skeptical at first and thought the action was an electioneering event. On closer inspection, however, it quickly became clear what this was all about. So it happened that every third customer bought at least one more piece and gave it to the young people. They were not tired of sorting, stacking, handing out flyers and kind words to the customers. The result was impressive: at the end of the day, more than 20 boxes filled with canned goods, non-perishable foodstuffs such as pasta and rice, baby food and hygiene items were handed over to the food bank.
Even in herzogenaurach, which is actually quite prosperous, there are families who have to try to make ends meet, and this also affects more than a hundred children. The food bank is therefore happy to receive everyday necessities, such as drugstore items, books and children's toys.

He could imagine rewriting the metallica hit for the hohner-classic concerts in august. "Since there is already a classic version of the song anyway, this was a good fit."
